We are Andrew and David Beckman, brothers and business partners, with forty two years’ experience behind us.
As Registered builders in the 70s and 80s, we gained extensive knowledge working in both restoration and Architectural construction.
In 1983 we purchased Balmoral Hardware on Hawthorne Road, Hawthorne, Brisbane to complement our construction business.
Through the 80s and 90s, we operated as an independent hardware business, offering not only building hardware and landscape supplies, but also a comprehensive range of restoration and Architectural hardware.
After 20 years in a 7 day a week retail hardware business, we needed a change! We decided to diversify, building on our expertise and what we enjoyed doing the most.
Preferring the restoration and architectural hardware components of our business, we relocated to Albion in 2000 and established Handle This.
We focused on combining our building and retail expertise with the provision of quality products and individualised customer service.
No longer regarded as a humble necessity, door and window furniture is an important embellishment, a very good investment and a statement of one’s personality. Weather restoring or building, renovating or just planning.
